Job Description
This is a key post, working closely with the Project Co-Ordinators of Blackpool Tiggers and My Town Tiggers.
The candidate will be required to input training, organisational and administrative leadership for both organisations. It requires a committed and enthusiastic individual, with drive, energy, and a determination to build on success. The post requires the ability to build external training services to ensure the long term self sustainability of training for Tiggers.
Key duties will include:
Providing leadership in:-
· Evaluation of organisational training needs
· Ensuring the systematic assessment of individual training needs against organisation need
· Sourcing appropriate training providers for internal and external training
· Sourcing funding for training provision
· Relationships and liaison with external training bodies
· Quality Assurance of training provision, including externally recognised standards such as Investors in People, Investors in Volunteering etc.,
· Development and delivery of training events and opportunities
· Mentoring volunteers in the administration and delivery of training
· Supporting volunteers on placement
· Undertaking an appropriate course of training to support development in this role
· Promoting take up of training opportunities
· Monitoring and evaluation of training programme and outcomes
· Promotion of training service on full cost recovery basis with view to ensuring post is self sustainable within 18 months. · Promotion of training facilities available at South Lodge to generate revenue
· Formulating guidance on training for the ‘MyTownTiggers’ toolkit
· Deputising in the absence of the Project Co-Ordinator and assisting in the day to day management of the office
